GMJBA 2025 8-14 YEAR OLD KID PITCH

Program Program Fees: $395 for 8-14 year-old players

Based on player's age as of April 30, 2025

8U: 8 year olds/2nd grade

9U: 9 year olds/3rd grade

10U: 10 year olds/4th grade

11U: 11 year olds/5th grade

12U: 12 year olds/6th grade

13U: 13 year olds/7th grade

14U: 14 year olds/8^th grade*

*No 14U Team for the 2024 Season

 General Guidelines

The 8-14 Year Old Kid Pitch Program is the largest part of the GMJBA organization. We are members of the RMJBL baseball league which is divided primarily into 4 levels at each age/division:

• AAA - National
• AAA - American 
• AA - National 
• AA - American 

"AAA" teams contain players of the highest skill level, while "AA" League is designed for the new or inexperienced player. By placing teams into separate divisions, players will be competing against teams and other players of the same skill level.  

By placing teams in 4 separate divisions, players will be competing against teams and other players of the same skill level. The league schedule consists of at least 10 regular season games with the opportunity of 16 games depending on weather. The top 4 teams in each division will play in the end of season tournament. Games are played during the week with 5-8 games at Arvada area fields and 5-8 games at away fields. 

8-13 year-old teams will play a 14-game league schedule, plus a double-elimination end of season tournament. 14 year-old teams play 12 games. There are no set game days or game times - game schedules vary based on team and field availability of the host associations. Players should expect a 3-4 day commitment per week. 

Coaches may choose to play in additional tournaments to enhance learning and improvement, with the cost in addition to league fees.    

For 8-13 year-olds, the season typically starts the first week in April and runs through the end of June. For 14 year-old teams, the season starts in early March and ends in late May, in time for players to try out for their high school summer teams.  

GMJBA participates in the Rocky Mountain Junior Baseball League (rmjbl.org), competing with teams from throughout Jefferson County plus Broomfield, Brighton and Thornton.
